Streamflow - ecology relationships at large spatiotemporal scales

I am generally interested in determining which specific aspects of the hydrograph determine species distributions and community turnover through space and time. Here, we employ flow modeling techniques in concert with variation partitioning and species distribution modeling to determine which suite of taxa traits interact with ecologically relevant metrics like zero flow days, flood frequency, and baseflow index. Within California, I have been using the SWAMP - CEDEN database for biologic and environmental data.
